Jacob the Jeweler, real name Jacob Arabo, will report to a federal prison in January to begin serving his 30-month sentence for money laundering and other federal offenses. But until then, Jacob is calling in all favors and moneys owed by his celebrities friends.

Jacob doesn’t have much time, so he’s suing customers who fail to ante up the cash they owe for jewels they bought but never paid for. One such customer is rapper/producer Wyclef Jean whom Jacob says owes him approximately $300,000 in unpaid jewelry purchases.

In a lawsuit filed in a Manhattan court Tuesday (7/29), Jacob and Company Incorporated claims between March 2002 and January 2006, the 35-year-old musician purchased $765,100 worth of assorted ornaments, including several watches, but only paid half of the price. Jean apparently still owes the company $319,680 despite “repeated demands for payment.”

Britney Spears’s restraining order against one-time pal Sam Lutfi may have been temporary, but their friendship is permanently over.

The pop star’s court-appointed attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, told the Associated Press that he will not seek to extend the restraining order in court on Thursday – because Spears has cut all ties with Lutfi anyway.

“Britney has made clear to everyone,” Ingham said, “that she does not want to be further harassed or contacted in any way by Osama ‘Sam’ Lutfi, now or at anytime in the future.”

Lutfi has been out of Spears’s life since February, when her father, Jamie, was granted legal control of her affairs as temporary conservator. (At the time, Britney’s mother, Lynne, accused Lutfi of drugging the singer.)

According to Ingham, the restraining order is no longer necessary because Jamie can legally control whom Britney, 26, sees: “During the temporary conservatorship, the conservators have the power to insure that Lutfi will not harm Britney anymore.”

Lutfi, it seems, will abide by the Spears family’s wishes. He said in his own statement to the AP, “Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Spears have mutually agreed in private that no hearing or order is necessary at this time.”

Ingham added that once Britney regains control of her life, she will continue to keep Lutfi out of it. “If Mr. Lutfi makes any future attempt to contact Britney after the temporary conservatorship has concluded,” he said, “Britney has made clear she will take all appropriate legal action.”

Lawyers for Jamie Spears are expected in court Thursday for a review of the conservatorship.

Boxing Champion Laila Ali is ready to give birth to her baby boy in September.The mom-to-be tells Parenting magazine that her pregnancy has been wonderful, with “no cravings and swollen ankles.” In the interview, Laila also lets us know what kind of mother she plans to be as well as how supportive her husband Curtis Conway has been throughout the whole pregnancy:

Congrats on your baby boy — due in September! Is it true you used positive thinking and prayer to make sure you got a boy?

[Laughs] Yeah. I want girls, too, but I want a boy first so he can take care of his little sisters. Plus, I know that my husband will appreciate having a son, and my father will love having a grandson.

Have you been getting tons of unsolicited parenting advice?

I only listen to certain people, like the women who’ve been pregnant and look good — like no stretch marks good — I want advice from them, so those people I listen to!

How has your pregnancy been?

I went into it thinking I was going to be miserable with morning sickness and nausea, and that I’d get huge. But actually, the whole thing has been great. Perfect, even.

Seriously? No swollen ankles or weird cravings?

None whatsoever. I think a lot of it has to do with being positive — when you expect something to be bad, that’s usually what ends up happening. So early in the pregnancy, I changed my mindset to, ‘This is going to be wonderful, and I’ll look even better pregnant.’ And my skin really has been better with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter.

Jamie Lynn Spears has left the building.

The teen mom’s former Zoey 101 costar Victoria Justice says she’d love to catch up with her old pal one of these days.

“I would have called her, but she shut off her phone,” Justice said at Monday night’s premiere of MTV’s The American Mall musical TV movie.

Justice says that Spears hightailed it out of town once the Nickelodeon series ended and that they haven’t spoken since.

“She moved to Louisiana right after the show wrapped,” Justice said. “She had to turn off her phone or change numbers, because somehow her number got out.”

So, Jamie Lynn, if you’re reading this, you’ve got a friend who’d love to hear from you.

Here’s a match made in…a lab?

With Amy Winehouse long out of commission, Alicia Keys has signed on to lend her sultry, soulful pipes to the new theme song being readied for the upcoming James Bond installment, Quantum of Solace, by alt-rocker Jack White.

The male half of the White Stripes, who wrote and produced the tune, called “Another Way to Die,” will also play drums. The film’s soundtrack is due out Oct. 28, while the movie itself, the second 007 flick featuring hunky blond Bond Daniel Craig, hits theaters Nov. 7.

Keys’ involvement in the production was first reported by E! Online’s own Marc Malkin.

White and Keys’ collaboration marks the first time a duo have tackled the Bond song, which hopefully will be more “Thunderball” (Tom Jones = suave and sophisticated) than “Die Another Day” (Madonna = Pierce Brosnan getting his ass kicked in a Korean prison).

The tradition of having a specialized theme harkens back to English cabaret star Matt Monro’s treatment of the title song from 1963’s From Russia With Love.

Hitmakers who have lent their vocals for the use of her majesty’s secret service over the years include Paul McCartney and Wings (”Live and Let Die”), Carly Simon (”Nobody Does It Better” originated on The Spy Who Loved Me soundtrack), Sheena Easton (”For Your Eyes Only”), a-ha (the purveyors of “The Living Daylights” as well as ’80s favorite “Take on Me”), Duran Duran (”A View to a Kill”), Gladys Knight (”License to Kill”), Tina Turner (”GoldenEye”), Garbage (”The World Is Not Enough”) and, most recently, Chris Cornell, who crooned “You Know My Name” for Casino Royale.

U.K. pop stars Leona Lewis and Duffy were also rumored to be in contention for Quantum of Solace honors before the job was handed over to White and Keys, who are sure to add a certain “that sounds like a marimba!” je ne sais quoi to the 22nd Bond adventure. source E

As Macy’s prepares to celebrate 150 years of retailing this October, Christina Aguilera is helping mark the occasion by lending her beautiful self to a series of commemorative photos.

The announcement of the Grammy winner’s involvement comes on the heels of Jessica Simpson’s just-shot holiday TV ad campaign for the famed department store.

While we have yet to see what Jess will bring to the Macy’s table, we’re pretty much in awe of what Christina has already contributed.

Seriously, if there are any plans to have a cake as part of the birthday celebration, we vote to have her jump out of it.

Forget about a dance-off.

It’s time for a hat-off between Justin Timberlake and Ashton Kutcher.

“It’s funny,” Timberlake says in the new issue of Fashion Rocks magazine. “I keep hearing Ashton Kutcher say how he was responsible for trucker caps. I’ve heard him make that statement before.”

But Timberlake insists he and his William Rast fashion line partner and childhood friend Trace Ayala are the real trendsetters. “Trace and I were wearing them when we were seventeen,” Mr. SexyBack says.

Timberlake is well on his way to fashion-icon status. Along with gracing the cover of Fashion Rocks, he’s new face of Givenchy’s men’s fragrance, Play!, and stars in William Rast’s upcoming fall ad campaign.

But he wasn’t always rockin’ fedoras and tailored suits with sneakers. Timberlake remembers a time when he would spray-paint vintage Air Jordans and shave images of beehives into Ayala’s hair.

“We just kind of didn’t care,” Timberlake remembers of his fashion faux pas. “We kind of still don’t.”

Timberlake is one of a gaggle of superstars performing at the Fashion Rocks concert in New York City on Sept. 5.
