She’s no stranger to high-profile shindigs, and last night Vanessa Hudgens was spotted checking out the Oakley Intro to Summer Event.
The “High School Musical” hottie looked to be having a good time as she meandered around the Mondrian Hotel SkyBar in West Hollywood, smiling and posing for the paparazzi.
Susan Boyle sang her way to the final of Britain’s Got Talent last night.
The Scottish spinster – dubbed the ‘Hairy Angel’ – won the public vote in the first live televised semi-final.
Looking shocked at topping the public poll, she performed a celebratory jiggle for judge Piers Morgan, whom she called ‘Piersy baby’.
She was joined in the next round by dance troupe Diversity.
They were selected to go through by judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden, who had to choose between the group and ten-year-old Natalie Okri.
The 48-year-old Scottish singer defeated seven other performers by belting out “Memory” from the musical Cats, and drew a standing ovation from the live audience.
“You are one special lady, I have to say, you really are,” panel judge Simon Cowell told her after her performance.
Cowell then apologized to the now-famously never-been-kissed church volunteer for underestimating her when she first auditioned in April.
Girls Aloud stars Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts still had plenty of energy as they enjoyed a night of partying at the weekend.
The girls celebrated the success of their show at the 02 arena separately as they made the most of the London night life.
Northern Irish singer Nadine, 23, looked stunning in a neon yellow strapless dress as she headed to Raffles in Chelsea with her boyfriend Jason Bell.
And bandmate Nicola, also 23, went for sixties glamour in a white lace shirt and a new ringlet-style hairdo while showing off her legs in a red skirt and matching heels for drinks at the Mayfair Hotel.

The bevvy of soap beauties rocked up to Manchester’s plush Panacea nightclub yesterday for Manchester City’s end-of-season bash – looking more Hollywood than Hollyoaks.
Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays brassy Mercedes McQueen, showed off her curves and washboard abs in a figure-hugging two-piece accessorised with gold shoes and a matching black and gold handbag.
Meanwhile, Emma Rigby – who won Best Actress at last year’s British Soap Awards for her role of bulimic Hannah Ashworth – looked extremely slender in a thigh-skimming white halter-neck frock.

Veteran R&B group En Vogue is marking its 20-year anniversary in the music industry with a major media blitz and a stint of concert tours.
The female quartet, which consists of original members Cindy Herron-Bragg, Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones, kicked off the anniversary rollout with an appearance on the ABC talk show ‘The View’ on Monday, May 11.
The “Funky Divas” are also featured on a June 7 episode of A&E’s ‘Private Sessions.’
En Vogue will be among the headliners at 15th annual Essence Music Festival, which will take place Labor Day weekend in New Orleans. The group will join the likes of Beyonce, Maxwell, Anita Baker, Ne-Yo and Lionel Richie.
There’s also buzz that the Grammy-nominated group is in negotiations with several music labels to record a new CD and may also be in the process of developing a reality series.
After they hit the scene in the 1990s, the members of En Vogue released two CDs (‘Born to Sing’ and ‘Funky Divas’) before Robinson left the group in 1997, allegedly because of contract negotiations.
The remaining members released two CDs (‘EV3′ and ‘Masterpiece Theater’) as a trio and then parted ways with Elektra Records in 2000.
Reminiscent of Diana Ross & the Supremes, En Vogue used various replacement members in 2001, when founding member Jones left the group.
First, Amanda Cole (2001′s ‘The Gift of Christmas’) and later Rhona Bennett (2004′s ‘Soul Flower’) performed and recorded with the ensemble.
Robinson returned to the group in 2005 to record ‘So What the Fuss’ for Stevie Wonder’s ‘A Time to Love’ CD and appeared with the girls later that year on the ‘VH1 Hip Hop Honors’ tribute to Salt-N-Pepa.
After another three-year absence from En Vogue, Robinson returned to the group permanently in 2008 for a reunion concert during the Plymouth Jazz Festival in Trinidad and Tobago. (See: ‘Reunited: Dawn Robinson Returns to En Vogue for Tobago Performance.’)
Later that year, the group performed alongside SWV and TLC during Alicia Keys’ musical performance at the BET Awards.

Something some hope wouldn’t have happened eventually did: ‘The Game’ will not be returning to The CW’s fall line-up.
A roll-out of three year old network’s new shows were unveiled May 21 at Madison Square Garden and the popular urban sitcom – created by ‘Girlfriends’ producer Mara Brock Akil — didn’t make the cut.
A groundswell of support via a grassroots Internet campaign didn’t help the three-year old show, which revolved around the lives of professional football players and the women who loved them.
Starring Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Wendy Racquel Robinson, Kobe Bell, Hosea Chanchez and Brittany Daniel, ‘The Game’ originated as a spin-off of the Kelsey Grammer-produced ‘Girlfriends’ and served as a launching pad for the network, which is helmed by Dawn Ostroff.
“In just three years, The CW has become TV to talk about, with culturally current, quality programming,” Ostroff said in a statement. “We have a full slate of great programming to keep our viewers watching, chatting, texting and tweeting all next season.”
Maybe some viewers.
The other African American-targeted sitcom ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ won’t be returning in the fall either.
The fifth broadcast television network will not program on Sunday nights and has cast aside all comedy in favor of scripted dramas with female appeal and ‘America’s Next Top Model.’
Mowry, one of the more recognizable stars of the show, was saddened by the news today and thanked her fans via her Facebook page. “Life is so funny. But what is in the dark ALWAYS come to light,” she added after making mention of “pathological liars.”
Chanchez commented on his: “I thank those of you who helped us to shine for three years. I’m sad but determined to continue to fly high and prosper.”

Five months after boyfriend David Otunga proposed to Jennifer Hudson on her 27th birthday, she returned the gesture with a surprise of her own: a proposal on Otunga’s birthday.
The Grammy-winning singer did it last month with style, presenting Otunga – a Harvard-educated-lawyer-turned-pro-wrestler – with a personally designed Neil Lane engagement ring rocking out at 5 carats.
“Jennifer wanted to give him something really special when she asked David to marry her,” says Lane, who worked with Hudson for months to design the ring. “It was very sentimental and romantic … They are really in love.”
The handmade “architectural and geometric” platinum and diamond men’s ring is “masculine, yet has a lot of sparkle,” says Lane, who also designed the engagement ring Otunga gave Hudson last fall. “Jennifer and I went through lots of different designs, talked about it a lot and she was very open.”
The only hitch was that neither Hudson or Lane knew Otunga’s ring size, and when Hudson gave it to her fiancé last month, it was too big. So last weekend, in town for Hudson’s tour dates, Otunga, 29, and Hudson went to Lane’s L.A. store to get it resized. “They were so lovey-dovey and so sweet to each other,” the jeweler tells people. “He was very protective of her and they were so in love.”
Hudson has been mum on the date of the nuptials, but has said that she plans to include her three dogs in the ceremony, perhaps using one as a ring bearer.
