Angelina and Brad inject some Hollywood glamour into a freezing cold and wet Baftas … but walk away with nothing

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrived to huge cheers at a rain-sodden Baftas in London last night.

The A-list couple braved the freezing cold and wet weather to sign autographs for ecstatic fans outside the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

The pair brought a touch of old Hollywood glamour to the damp red carpet with Jolie wearing a strapless, floor-length black dress complete with two yellow stripes.

A dashing, tuxedo-clad Pitt joked about the dismal weather: ‘It’s a nice change for us… all that sun!’ But the pair, who were nominated for best actor and best actress, missed out on prizes. Continue

They’re one of the most recognizable couples in all of Hollywood, so it’s no wonder Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie receive all kinds of media attention.

However, when the New York Times made the assertion that the “Changeling” actress was a master at controlling the press, Pitt stepped in for her defense.

As could be expected, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt proved quite an eyeful at Saturday’s New York premiere of her new movie. Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood.

But, in fact, there was even more to meet the eye on the leading lady: two new tattoos – to complement her ink indicating global birth coordinates of children Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh.

Jolie has had the July 12 French birthplace of twins Knox and Vivienne enscribed twice on her left shoulder beneath the latitude and longitude of their other children.

For the first time since the birth of twins Vivienne and Knox, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in New York City with their kids.

Jolie plans to walk the red carpet at the New York Film Festival on Oct. 4 for the premiere of her movie The Changeling, a 1920s-set thriller directed by Clint Eastwood.

The couple and their six children set up house last month in a lakeside villa in Berlin, where they are living while Pitt films Quentin Tarantino’s World War II thriller Inglorious Bastards.

Pitt, 44, missed the German premiere of his movie Burn After Reading on Oct. 1 to accompany Jolie, 33, back to the States. Continue

Jolie-Pitt Foundation Establishes HIV/AIDS Clinic in Ethiopia

Posted on 14 Sep 2008 at 5:42am

Jolie-Pitt Foundation has made a $2 million donation to the Global Health Committee to establish a center to aid children affected by tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia.

The center will be modeled after the Cambodian Health Committee’s Maddox Chivan Children’s Center in Cambodia, where children receive medical, education and social services.

“Our goal is to transfer the success we have had in Cambodia to Ethiopia where people are needlessly dying of tuberculosis, a curable disease, and HIV/AIDS, a treatable disease,” Jolie said in a statement.

As in Cambodia, where the couple named the center after their eldest child, the Ethiopian branch will be named for Zahara, 3, who was adopted from Ethiopia. Continue

DOUBLE HAPPINESS

“An awe words fail to describe,” dad Brad Pitt tells people about his reaction to seeing twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline for the first time after being born via cesarean section on July 12. And mom Angelina Jolie, who was worried because they were premature, breathed a sigh of relief when “I saw they were big and screaming with healthy lungs. I was at peace.”

‘HER BABIES’

WHAT’S IN A NAME

“The name Vivienne came to us early, as if she named herself – she has always been Viv,” says Pitt of his new daughter (left). “And Marcheline is to honor Angie’s mother. Knox came soon after. It is a family name, my grandfather’s. Léon is a classic French name.”

No longer the baby of the famiy, 2-year-old Shiloh (pointing at Knox) has embraced her role as big sister. “Shiloh calls them her babies,” says Jolie. “She and Z (Zahara, 3) pick out their clothes and help change and hold them.”

THE SIX-PACK

Having six children is “chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time,” says Jolie (with Pax, 4, Viv, Zahara, Knox and Shiloh, who’s lying on top of Maddox, 7). Luckily, the couple is getting help from Grammy and Papa – a.k.a. Pitt’s parents, Jane and Bill, who are staying with them at the Château Miraval in Provence, France.

MOMMY INSTINCT

Shiloh (holding Viv) and Zahara are “little mommies” to the twins, says Jolie. “Viv is proving to resemble Ange in spirit, attitude and physicality,” says Pitt. “And Knox, a bit of me.”

SHOWERED WITH AFFECTION

Always the life of the party in the Jolie-Pitt clan, Zahara has become a nurturing sister to Viv (in foreground) and Knox. “My mom loved being a mom and made sure her children knew every day how much joy we brought to her,” says Jolie. “I hope to give that to my kids.”

BIG BROTHERS

Maddox (left, cradling Viv while Pax checks out Knox) is the informal leader of the six-pack. “This is Mad’s fourth/fifth time becoming an older bro. He’s asking us when we can have more,” says Pitt.

ONE-ON-ONE

To help prepare the kids for the twins’ arrival, Jolie and Pitt had Pax (with little brother Knox) and his siblings watch “a Dora the Explorer where Dora’s mom has twins – a boy and a girl,” says Jolie. “They watched that a lot. They were excited.”

KIDS WILL BE KIDS

Pax and Zahara love to play hide-and-seek on the château grounds while the twins – who are on the same schedule, breast-feeding every three hours (“It gets a little crowded at the bar,” jokes Pitt) – take naps.

LOVE SCENE

“Wanting a big family is one of the things that brought us together,” says Jolie (with Viv, left, and Knox). Agrees Pitt: “Always said if I were to do it, I’d do it big.”

They are just 3 weeks old, but twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline are about to take the world by storm.

In an exclusive interview and photos, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie offer people an intimate look at their growing family.

“It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time,” Jolie tells people of daily life at the Château Miraval in Provence, France, where the couple’s four older children – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2 – have been enjoying a summer of outdoor play (hide-and-seek is a favorite) on the château’s sprawling grounds.

Adds Pitt: “ still a cuckoo’s nest.”

Fortunately, they already have some household helpers. “ and Z pick out clothes and help change and hold them,” says Jolie. “It’s sweet – they are little mommies.”

Brad and Angelina sell baby pictures for a record £7.5million

Brad and Angelina sell baby pictures for a record £7.5million

Posted on 01 Aug 2008 at 10:57am

They are already earning a Hollywood star’s salary and they are just two weeks old.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have sold the first pictures of their newborn twins to a magazine for a reported £7.5 million.

Pictures of the Hollywood couple’s new arrivals, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline will be the most expensive baby pictures ever.

After a fierce contest between the celebrity magazines, Hello! outbid its rival OK! magazine for the rights to the pictures, and even brought its publication date forward to August 4 to capitalise on the coup.

The twins have remained hidden from public view since they were born at Lenval hospital in the south of France on July 13.

Jolie, 33, whose late mother Marcheline was French has also bought a chateau in the country to retain her Gallic heritage.

Brangelina’s first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel was born in Namibia in 2006.

Pictures of her were sold to Hello! for £2 million which the couple donated to charity.

They have also adopted three children: six-year-old Maddox, from Cambodia; Zahara, aged three, from Ethiopia; and four-year-old Pax from Vietnam.

Bonjour! Jolie-Pitt Twins Are the Talk of Nice

Posted on 15 Jul 2008 at 4:49am

Just hours after he cut the umbilical cords of his newborn twins, Brad Pitt welcomed the mayor of Nice and told him, “I’m the happiest father ever.”

In fact, the proud papa kept repeating the phrase over and over again, Mayor Christian Estrosi – who visited Pitt and Angelina Jolie in their hospital room – told the local newspaper Nice-Matin.

The twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born Saturday and the mayor came by the next day to sign their birth certificates.

According to the paper, the babies spent Saturday night in Jolie’s room and she took care of them by herself.

The actress’s obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, also said that Knox and Vivienne – who weighed in at 5.03 and 5 lbs., respectively – are in excellent health, but they do need to gain some weight. He told Nice-Matin that Jolie may remain at the hospital another six or seven days while the newborns grow.

While the duration of Jolie’s hospital stay remains to be seen, Mayor Estrosi added that Pitt and Jolie have great affection for Nice and the Fondation Lenval hospital, which overlooks the Mediterranean.

“ told me we chose one of the best hospitals in the world, one of the best doctors, one of the best medical teams,” he told the paper. “And also the most beautiful bay in the world.”
