R&B singer Brandy will not have to go to civil trial over her December 2006 car crash that killed Awatef Aboudihaj.
The ‘Full Moon’ star has settled with the remaining plaintiff in the case, Aboudihaj’s husband, though the terms of the settlement are sealed.
Back in June, the ‘Moesha’ star settled with Aboudihaj’s two children, who each received $300,000.

Brandy takes a break from promoting her new single, “Right Here (Departed),” to shop for a loveable doll Tuesday at the American Girl Place in New York City.
It’s been four years since she has released any new music and Brandy is getting all geared up to re-emerge with a brand new album.
The “I Wanna Be Down” songstress was spotted filming a music video for the lead single “Right Here (Departed)” from her forthcoming album “Human” in downtown Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (August 18th).
Of her new opus, Brandy says it’s an unadulterated look into her heart. “Human is my most personal album to date. I have grown so much since my last album. Being able to express myself and my journey through my music is a feeling I can’t describe. With this new chapter of my life it feels good to have Rodney , a familiar face, by my side again. He brings out emotions in me like nobody else.”
According to her label Epic Records, “Human” will hit stores November 11th, with the single “Right Here (Departed)” releasing August 26th.

Singer Brandy and her 6-year-old daughter Sy’rai have teamed up with Sneaker brand Skechers for the ‘Nothing Compares to Family’ ad campaign. The ad campaign,which features other celebrity families, is slated to run in 2009:
The SKECHERS USA, Inc. “Nothing Compares to Family” promotion, slated to run through 2009, stars some of today’s popular celebrity families and benefits children’s charities with ads breaking in celebrity weekly magazines and other fashion and lifestyle glossies.
SKECHERS plans to rotate a variety of different celebrity families throughout the campaign, featuring mothers and small children and adult celebrities with their sisters, brothers, parents and grandparents. At the heart of the campaign is Skechers’ commitment to family.
Each ad will be tagged with a charity of the celebrity’s choice, ones that are family-related, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International or Habitat for Humanity, which builds homes for families.
