The rapper – who has kept mum about his romance with Ashanti for years – is finally ready to dish.

The key to their below-the-radar relationship, he tells source that they both love to have a good time.

“That’s the thing between me and her, we just like having fun,” he said Sunday at Las Vegas’s Lavo club, where he was celebrating his 34th birthday.

Although Ashani was in Japan and couldn’t attend the party, Nelly admitted that the two have been “hanging out for a minute.”

The Democratic National Convention will be held this week in Denver and many music celebrities will be appearing, now MySpace is getting into the mix. Taking over a restaurant called The Corner Office for it’s local headquarters, Nelly is now scheduled to perform Tuesday along with stars like Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson coming by the MySpace spot. Ashanti and Nelly kicked it this weekend in Houston at the TJ’s DJ’s Tastemakers DJ/Music Conference.

“I have been a big fan of Diddy and the Sean John clothing line for years,” Nelly told . “So, when they asked me to work with them, it was a real honor. I hope my fans will enjoy this campaign as much as I did shooting it.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs, founder of Sean John, hopes Nelly’s involvement will help boost Sean John’s earnings, which are pegged at about $525 million annually.

“I have known Nelly for many years and I really admire his work. To me, Nelly is the quintessential definition of the Sean John man,” Combs elaborated. “He has the attitude, the swagger, and most of all the physique that our customers can both aspire and relate to. And let’s be honest, all of the ladies out there are going to be thanking us for this campaign.”

Though he needs no introduction, Ashanti made a surprise appearance onstage to introduce her man Nelly before the rapper and Fergie showed off their mic moves during their duet “Party People.”
