Last week, when Lil Wayne, 26, became a father for the second time to baby boy Dwayne Michael Carter III, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, he wasn’t handing out cigars in the waiting room. He was right there in the delivery room.
“I delivered him. I held the left leg the whole time,” Wayne said Tuesday night at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse concert. “It was nasty, very nasty, but it was wonderful. Oct. 22, 9:25 a.m., 7 lbs., 12 oz. He’s the best thing to ever happen to me, next to my daughter.”
Lil Wayne’s first child, 8-year-old Reginae Carter, belongs to Wayne and his high school sweetheart Antonia “Toya” Johnson.
The identity of the newborn’s mother remains private.
One day after Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were found shot to death in their Chicago home – and her nephew Julian King was kidnapped – the Oscar winner’s sister Julia made an impassioned plea for her son’s return.
“I don’t care who you are, just let the baby go,” Julia Hudson said in a press conference held at the Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday. “I just want my son. He don’t deserve this.”
An Amber Alert was issued for the boy, Julian King, 7, on Friday and named Julia Hudson’s estranged husband, William Balfour, 27, as a suspect in the slayings. Balfour is in police custody for questioning, but no charges have been filed.
An autopsy confirmed that Darnell Donerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29, died of gunshot wounds.
“It hurts,” Julia Hudson said of her mother and brother’s deaths. “We’re in a state of shock. I don’t know what else to do but pray.”
With the boy’s father, Greg King, by her side, Julia Hudson asked the public to keep an eye out for him, mentioning that he responds to nicknames like “Juice Box” and “Dr. King.” “He’s out there. Just let him go,” she said. Addressing her son, she added: “I love you. Mama’s looking for you.” The FBI have reportedly been called in to investigate King’s disappearance.
Julia added that sister Jennifer, 27, the Oscar-winning star of Dreamgirls and an American Idol alum, had flown in to be by her side as soon as she heard the tragic news. She said that upon hearing the news, Jennifer, “was screaming” and “flew in right away.”
Julian had been at his grandmother’s house on Friday and the two were, Julia said, “extremely close.”
“I worked, so he was always with her, day in and day out,” she said. “She did everything for him. She got him ready for school. She got him ready for bed.”
“My greatest fear has already happened,” Julia Hudson added. “My greatest hope is for him to come back.”

Alison Sweeney has gotten her wish: She’s expecting a little girl, the soap star and Biggest Loser host tells Entertainment Tonight.
“The whole experience of having a little girl, I’d love that,” Sweeney, 31, told people last month, adding that she often looks at little girls’ clothes while shopping for her son Ben, 3.
Sweeney’s daughter is expected to arrive in January, she tells ET.
“I am feeling fantastic,” she says. “I have moments of extreme morning sickness, but I get through it. Hopefully, I will be past it soon.”
Sweeney and her husband, Dave Sanov, announced in June that they were expecting their second child. Since then, Sweeney, who’ll be back on Biggest Loser come the new fall season, has continued working out four times a week – and putting all of her energy towards convincing an indifferent Ben that a sibling is a good addition to the family.
“We’re working on it,” she told people.

Meet the pop star’s son Max, and see inside his nursery!
“I’m head over heels in love,” says Christina Aguilera of her new son, Max Liron Bratman, born Jan. 12. “I’m in awe of this little miracle.”
At home in Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman’s Mediterranean-style Los Angeles mansion, Max is a “sweet, mellow baby,” and not a big crier, says Mom. When he does get fussy, Aguilera sings softly to him.
Aguilera’s favorite piece in the nursery is an 11-ft.-tall moon from her Back to Basics tour. “It was Jordan’s idea,” she says, to include it among the Paddington Bear doll and Nintendo figurines.
“The instant I heard his cry, the waterworks started,” Aguilera says of the birth via scheduled C-section. When they placed Max in her arms, “I said, ‘Hi, Papa, hi, my little angel’.”
“Jordan is amazing – he’s a natural caretaker,” says the singer. “He’s so chill with the baby. I love the way we work as a team. I’m so happy to be going through this experience with him.”
“We keep it mellow,” says Bratman, with Aguilera, Max and pooches Scratchy, Stinky and bullmastiff Coco on their Balinese daybed. “We’re a pretty stress-free couple, and I think Max can tell.”
