The upcoming August issue of Vanity Fair is devoted to Hollywood’s new class of rising stars. It’s no surprise that the gorgeous cast of Gossip Girl is front and center, with Blake Lively landing on the cover.

Our Upper East Siders also share the spotlight with a few of the new popular kids like Zoe Kravitz, Hunter Parrish, and the Superbad Boys. The article takes a trip down memory lane to VF’s group from 2003, citing Shia as its biggest success and prompting us to guess which of these fresh faces will be the A-listers of tomorrow. While we’ve got a few of our own predictions, in the meantime we can enjoy a sneak peek into the likes and dislikes of the kids who are ruling the Hollywood scene — at least for now.

A White House wedding reception for first daughter Jenna and new husband Henry Hager on Saturday night drew hundreds of friends and family, including President Bush, who took to the dance floor.

The United States Marine Band played a selection of standards and other “oldies-but-goodies,” one of the guests tells people, for the Republican-heavy crowd of 600 including secretaries of state past and present, Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice.

President Bush danced, as did First Lady Laura Bush and their two daughters, Barbara and her newlywed sister Jenna, who is just back from her Hawaiian honeymoon, the guest says.

“The President looked pretty cool,” says the guests. “He was a good dancer. He was having a great time.”

After the reception, the groom’s parents, John and Maggie Hager, invited friends to join them at the Old Ebbitt Grill a few steps from the White House and a favorite hangout for politicos

Charlie Sheen may have been the one who called this morning’s emergency custody hearing, but he isn’t the only one who wound up gaining ground.

“I’m very happy with today’s outcome,” Denise Richards exclusively told E! News after the hearing.

Sheen, 42, was not required to attend the proceedings and declined to make the trek downtown, but he was also apparently just fine with what went down in his absence.

“Charlie was very grateful and more than pleased with the court for how they dealt with the custody issues regarding his two children this morning,” the actor’s publicist, Stan Rosenfield, told E!

His attorneys were present and accounted for after filing an ex parte motion in his ongoing custody battle with Richards. The motion was quickly sealed.

The two sides briefly met with Los Angeles County Court Commissioner Harvey Silberman in chambers before all parties emerged and Silberman announced he would keep Sheen’s motion conditionally sealed until Aug. 1.

“Today’s proceedings had to do with custody isues regarding their children…and we were very pleased [Silberman] gave us the time he did,” Richards’ attorney, Neal Hersh, told E! News. “And Denise is very, very happy with the commissioner’s decision.

“This will hopefully move things forward in a positive way for the benefit of the kids, which has always been and remains the primary concern.”

While the exact nature of Sheen’s motion remains unclear, it is likely tied to Sheen’s revelation on Wednesday that their two daughters failed to show up for a planned visitation.

Mom-to-be CHRISTINA AGUILERA is having a baby boy, according to Us Weekly. Singer CHRISTINA MILIAN revealed the happy news to the mag Thursday night. “Her son is going to be pretty lucky because his mom… she’s just awesome!” Milian said. “She is going to be a cool mom.”

There were already hints Aguilera was expecting a boy with her hubby JORDAN BRATMAN. The singer held a blue-themed baby shower this past Sunday.
