How does Mariah Carey plan to make the season bright for hubby of six months Nick Cannon?

“I always get Santa lingerie, even if nobody sees it,” the singer, 39, tells Redbook’ for its December issue. “But this year it will be appreciated!”

Stripping down for the holidays is apparently a Carey holiday tradition.

“[My girlfriends and I] go in the hot tub in our Christmas bikinis, then roll in the fresh snow and jump back in,” says the songbird, who usually opts for “a red bikini with a Santa hat.”

But that doesn’t mean she isn’t excited about starting her own sweet traditions with Cannon.

“I’m really looking forward to being in love on Christmas,” she says. “The holidays are always great, but being in love … is going to be the icing on the cake.”

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon keep the romance alive during a “double date” with another iconic couple – Mickey and Minnie Mouse! – Wednesday at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Mariah Carey says before meeting husband Nick Cannon, she went through such low times that she dreamt of being “kidnapped” from her life.

“When I was in an unhappy place in my life … I always wanted to be kidnapped,” the singer tells Elle magazine. “I just wanted a way out, but I didn’t have one.”

Ten years after her split with ex-husband Tommy Mottola, Cannon stepped into her life – and whisked her up in a whirlwind romance.

“We really kept the whole relationship aspect of it quiet,” Carey says of their speedy courtship and top-secret nuptials. “We didn’t want to give people a chance to be like, ‘What are you doing? What are you talking about? This is so quick …. Are you sure?’ ”

Then, one night, while hanging out on the rooftop of her Manhattan apartment, Cannon popped the question with a 17-carat diamond hidden inside a candy ring pop. “They’ve been calling me Cinderella since I first started out,” she says of the fairytale-worthy proposal. “Most people would think, Okay, please! This doesn’t happen in real life.”

A few days later, Carey got her wish – a kidnapping – and a second proposal.

“He sort of kidnapped me and took me on a helicopter ride,” she says. “Then he re-proposed.”

Known for her extravagant approach to life, Touch My Body singer Mariah Carey surprised the world by marrying her actor beau Nick Cannon in a secret low-key ceremony in the Bahamas last month.

And now the chanteuse is planning to exchange her vows once more - in a no-expense-spared New York wedding this summer.

The 38-year-old star revealed on a US chat show last week that she and her new actor husband intend to renew their vows every year. And as her tropical nuptials were attended by “mainly people there to do my hair and help me with the dress”, the bride wants to begin with a lavish £2 million ceremony “in the next six weeks”.

“(Mariah) wants over 2,000 guests… and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids!” reveals a source, adding: “Picture a wedding on the scale of Liza Minnelli’s (to David Gest) and you’ll be right on track.”

MARIAH CAREY told ELLEN DeGENERES she plans to have many more weddings with NICK CANNON in the future and that her new husband even proposed renewing the nuptials once a year.

“Instead of trying to be like, ‘You’re invited, but shhh, don’t tell anybody,’ we’re just going to have another one (wedding) next year,” Carey said on Ellen’s show to be aired Tuesday.

The couple’s small wedding April 30 included mostly people “to do my hair and help me with the dress,” Carey said. “And then three of my friends and he had three people with him.”

“So it wasn’t a lot of people because we wanted to be on the beach and we didn’t want other people taking pictures,” Carey said.

The singer said Cannon popped the question to her because she could never propose to anyone. Carey also showed off her wedding bling and revealed to Ellen the couple designed each other’s rings.

Carey also surprised her host with sexy white lingerie as a birthday present and Ellen playfully pulled the piece over her clothes and wore it during the interview.
