With the holidays just around the corner, our favorite stars are already starting to celebrate. And last night Madonna and Rihanna were spotted at Gucci’s swanky dinner at the Plaza Hotel.
The “Umbrella” babe and her “Material Girl” pal hammed it up for the paparazzi at the Tattoo Heart Collection launch to benefit UNICEF, with Madge sporting a frilly green sleeveless minidress with fishnet stockings and strappy heels, while Rihanna rocked a sexy lavender gown complete with a plunging backline.
Just flown in back to the States following a string of overseas concerts, Rihanna was on-hand for the 2008 UNICEF Snowflake Lighting in New York City on Wednesday evening (November 19).
Held at the Grand Army Plaza, the “Umbrella” songstress joined forces with Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini with the night’s honorary lighting duties - which followed a performance by Neyo.
Continuing along with her world tour, Rihanna took the stage in Singapore for a sold-out show on Thursday night (November 13).
The “Take A Bow” songstress just finished up with the Australian leg of her tour, during which she’s been traveling about with her R&B stud beau Chris Brown.
Rihanna very nearly had an SOS of her own.
While reports—and videos—have been circulating online appearing to show the 20-year-old singer on the verge of collapse at the end of a concert in Sydney earlier today, a rep for Rihanna is downplaying any serious medical issues. Read more…
Friends of low-key couple Chris Brown and Rihanna are learning their lesson — don’t kiss and tell!
R&B singer Ne-Yo opened up to the UK’s Sun newspaper about the private couple on Oct. 13 saying, “At first I did question whether it was real, but I’m good friends with both of them and I know that they are in a genuine relationship.”
Since then the hit maker, who wrote 20-year-old Rihanna’s hits Unfaithful and Take a Bow, is a mite miffed.
“I heard recently they were a little upset with me,” Ne-Yo, 29, told OK! at the Vacheron Constantin event in NYC on Oct. 22.
As for forcing Rihanna and Chris, 19, out of the romance closet?
“I’ve never done anything of the sort,” he told us. “I think it might be pictures of them kissing that makes people think that.”

R&B star Rihanna has been unveiled as the spokesmodel for fashion house Gucci’s new campaign for The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Rihanna will front the Italian designer’s Tattoo Heart range of products. A quarter of all profits made from the line will be donated to the children’s charity.
Explaining why they chose the singer, Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said her “strong personality” was a good fit for the cause, because “a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign.”
The singer puts her own spin on her chic red peplum Monique Lhuillier dress with a leopard-print belt, Sang A clutch, gold and diamond Anita Ko Cougar bracelet and ring and gold Andrea Lieberman for Mouawad earrings for the Spirit of Life Award Dinner in Santa Monica.
Undercover lovebirds Rihanna and Chris Brown, starting their exciting night on the town with dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. Then, the two popped into the Hideout, a small bar next door. “They came in with their bodyguard and watched people getting up to sing karaoke,” says an onlooker. “They were laughing hysterically –not at everyone, but they just thought it was so cute and funny.” Alas, neither pop star took turns on the mic. After getting their fill, the two left, holding hands on the way out the door.

Battle of the singers! Rihanna first sported her Elizabeth and James feathered vest while shopping in L.A., while Cassie hit the Vibe anniversary party a week later in hers. Amerie finished it out a few days later at an L.A. charity event.
